Dear MEI Parents,
As of late this afternoon, B.C. Provincial Health officials are strongly advising against all non-essential travel outside of Canada including the United States. Why? “We need to be able to ensure that our schools and our workplaces remain safe” (Bonnie Henry, Provincial health officer). Dr. Henry further indicated that anyone who chooses to travel outside of Canada will be required to stay away from work or school for fourteen days upon their return to the province.
MEI is asking all staff and students to follow this directive and will require anyone who travels outside of Canada, including the United States, to wait 14 days from the date of their arrival back in Canada before returning to the MEI Schools campus. If you wish for your child to return to classes immediately after spring break, please revise your travel plans.
Sincerely,
Vijay Manuel
