OFFICIAL STATEMENT*
On Friday, March 3rd, 11 students and 2 staff who are members of the MEI Secondary Ski & Snowboard Club traveled to Whistler, BC. That afternoon, MEI was notified that one student was missing which resulted in a search by Whistler personnel. The results of the search led to the devastating news that our student had died. MEI is working with our staff, students, parents, and supporting community to process this tragic news.

ReplyDeleteThis is incredibly sad. I feel very sorry for the child and his parents. It is tragic for the two teachers and the other ten students. As a parent with a child at MEI I share their sorrow. My heartfelt sympathy to everyone touched by the loss of this child.
