John the Baptist spoke of His cousin Jesus in this way: “He must become greater; I must become less” (John 3:30). This was significant because John was speaking to his own disciples who were upset that their movement was being overtaken by Jesus: “...look, he is baptizing, and everyone is going to Him” (John 3:26). John reminded them that the movement actually belongs to Jesus.
This exciting movement continues today with passion and purpose and requires that we get to work because The fields are ripe and ready to be harvested, if we would only open our eyes (Jesus in John 4:35).
It’s not a religion, but a movement; Jesus’ movement. He must become greater; we must become less!
