#EarlyToChurch2019... WHY?

It was an easy decision for our family to embrace the #EarlyToChurch2019 challenge.  Our rationale was simple:

1. We try to live out the following as a key component of our family life: “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭10:24-25‬

For us, this includes Sunday morning worship in our church, our Life Group (including the annual camping trip), Youth Group for our kids, the school community we are all a part of, and our friendships.

2. The things that matter to us don't have to beg us to come, or beg us to come on time, or beg us to be engaged. We simply do come, do come on time, and do engage.  Take sporting events as an example. Misha and I are ready to go when the puck drops with a bowl of popcorn. If there's a movie we're wanting to see, Sarah & I aren't even willing to miss the previews in the theatre!

If meeting together to worship God, encourage each other through Christian fellowship, and engage in Biblical teaching is in fact important to our family, then you ought to see the Manuels at church... on time... and engaged.  Now, having been a choral teacher, you can ask any of my former and forever loved students what 'being on time' means... it means being early and prepared. :)
