Staffing Announcement - MEI Spiritual Formation Coach
Cheyla Reader has been hired to be MEI’s first K - 12 Spiritual Formation Coach. Her responsibilities will include: Building a team of teachers to lead and guide the spiritual formation strategy at MEI, Developing a unified approach to spiritual formation in curriculum, chapels, and morning devotions, and Mentoring new teachers as they begin working at MEI’s elementary, middle, and secondary schools. She will work closely with the Head of Schools and the school administration teams in this role.Cheyla is currently working as a teacher at MEI Secondary School where she has taught Bible, Career Life Education, Physical Education, and Marketing & Entrepreneurship. She has completed her undergraduate work at Columbia Bible College (CBC) in Intercultural Studies and has a Master of Arts in Leadership from Trinity Western University. Cheyla has led an ACTION Program team to Burkina Faso, completed a 7-month internship in Mexico through the TREK Program, and served as Program Director at Keats Camps. She has also served as Assistant Coach and Team Captain of the Women’s Volleyball Team at CBC. Cheyla is committed to a local church community where she serves as an elder.
