Did you know that every sin you’ve ever committed can be completely forgiven and will no longer be held against you?
Jesus Himself gave us the signs of His coming and of the end of the age: nation rising against nation, wars and rumors of wars, famines, earthquakes in various places, the persecution of His followers, the sun darkened, the moon not giving its light, and the stars falling from heaven (Matthew 24:3-29). The Bible also warns that in the last days, people will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, and lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God (2 Timothy 3:1-5).
In the midst of all this growing darkness, where do we find real, unshakable hope?
In Jesus Christ.
Jesus declared, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full” (John 10:10). God’s love for you is so profound that “He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16). Jesus willingly laid down His life on the cross so that your sins could be washed away by His precious blood. As the Scripture says:
• “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace” (Ephesians 1:7).
• “As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us”(Psalm 103:12).
• “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9).
While the world may judge you by your past, God offers complete forgiveness and a brand-new beginning through the finished work of Jesus on the cross.
This Easter, come home to Jesus.
Friend, repent of your sins and put your trust in Jesus as I have. The moment I did, I was fully forgiven, the heavy burden of guilt and shame was lifted, and I received the Holy Spirit as my Comforter, Teacher, and Guide (John 14:26; Acts 2:38); this will be your story as well!
Hope will rise in your heart as you live in joyful expectation of Jesus’ glorious return—“coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him” (Revelation 1:7). You will have the sure promise of eternal life with Him in Heaven, and you will become His light in this darkening world—His ambassador of hope and reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:20; Matthew 5:14-16). To God be all the glory, now and forever!
